  5. You won't be seen as serious. When I first started showing clients how to use e-learning technology, 12 years ago, it was a significant point of difference and a strong selling point. Now it's significant if you don't offer it - and a strong point against you.

Over three months, I'll work with you personally to show you how to turn your existing material into e-learning form.

The exact things we do will vary depending on your business and what you're already doing. Here are some examples of the things I'll show you how to do:

Product Audit

I'll send you a product audit to help you catalogue your current product and service offerings. You might be surprised at just how much you've got already!

Strategic Planning Session

We follow that up with a one-hour telephone planning session to discuss the Product Audit, and identify opportunities for creating new on-line products and services. We'll make sure things fit your business strategy, follow a logical sequence, and lead to easy "wins" that boost your bottom line quickly.

Mentoring Sessions

Over the following three months, we'll have a half-hourly scheduled phone consultation every two weeks (or an hourly phone session every month, if you prefer). These regular sessions are designed to keep you on track with executing your plan. At the end of each session, I'll send you an audio recording for your reference. You will also develop a "Next Steps" report of action steps from the session.

If you have an implementor or support person, invite them to join the telephone sessions. Or send them the MP3 recordings of each session.

Additional Access

The mentoring program is based on access, not on hourly rates. The scheduled phone sessions are to keep us focussed, but you also have access to me at other times as well. I'll be available when you require help, and I'll keep you front of my mind when I find new opportunities.

I'll give you a special e-mail address and my mobile phone number, so that you get priority access to me outside our scheduled sessions. This allows you to call me up for quick advice on things in between our scheduled sessions.

Additional Sessions

If you require longer phone sessions during the 90-day period, they are available at 50% discount on Gihan's current consulting rate (The current rate is $1,500 per session).

    In this program, we work on e-learning programs that build on your existing programs. This means you must understand your market, know what they want, and have a proven track record in delivering value to them in your presentations. If you're just starting out, this probably isn't the right program for you.

  1. You're willing to position yourself as an expert.

    The success of any on-line program relies on your expertise - not just in the program content, but also in the way you market it. On the Internet, you have to prove you're an expert even before people visit your Web site. To do this, you must be ready and willing to produce high-value content regularly. Otherwise, it's difficult for us to help you leverage it!

  1. You're committed to making this a success.

    This might sound obvious, but this service is only useful for you if you're genuinely interested in building a successful e-learning program. Although I'll be helping you, it will still be up to you to do the work.

Your investment for the E-Learning Consulting service is in two parts:

  • $1,000 + GST to commence the program and conduct the strategic planning session.
  • $1,500 + GST per month, each month for 3 months.
